Special seal for replacing the original sealing washer of the primary drive chain tensioner adjustment screw (part no 71-3222).
It is usual sometimes that the original washer that it is made from steel and rubber can’t seal properly allowing oil to drip from the adjusting nut.
This special seal is developed by us and it gives excellent results.
It comprises from two parts.  The inside is made from nylon (ertalon) and its inside diameter is threaded with the same pitch of the adjusting screw (7/16 20TPI).
The outside diameter is tapered.
The outer part, made from stainless steel, has its inner diameter tapered the opposite way of the nylon washer so when these parts are assembled the stainless washer compresses the nylon against the surface of the primary cover and the threads of the adjusting screw giving a perfect oil-tight seal.
There is only one small disadvantage of this configuration.
Its total thickness is 5mm so in comparison with the thickness of the original (2.5-3mm) it steals about of 2-2.5mm of useful travel from the adjusting screw.
