One area were the concentric carburetor is sensitive at, is the fuel level inside the float bowl.

Amal Company states that the fuel level must be, when the needle valve is being held shut by the tangs of the float,

 between 0.17" to 0.24" (4.33mm to 6.35mm) from the top of the bowl.

But also when the working engine is extracting fuel from the bowl, the fuel level must not drop dramatically otherwise

the engine will perform badly.
